Pratt & Whitney Inducts New Fellows
EAST HARTFORD, Conn., March 18, 2022 – Pratt & Whitney inducted new Fellows, appointed Senior Fellows and Senior Fellow Discipline Leads, and recognized them for their achievements as leaders in their areas of specialty on March 17 in a ceremony held at The Bushnell in Hartford.
Established in 1995, the Pratt & Whitney Fellows Program grows the technical leadership needed to continue the engine maker’s legacy of innovation. Fellows advance the technical excellence needed for Pratt & Whitney products, processes and people. Selection of new Fellows follows a rigorous review of the individual’s contributions to Pratt & Whitney, the field of engineering and the aviation industry.
“Our Fellows are aerospace industry experts and valuable contributors and decision makers in their respective fields,” said Geoff Hunt, senior vice president of Engineering, when he addressed the Fellows during the ceremony. “This group continues the legacy of excellence and leadership built since Pratt & Whitney was founded nearly 100 years ago and continues to redefine what innovation means today.”
During the ceremony each inductee was recognized by their vice president and senior fellow discipline lead. The evening also featured Nicholas Donofrio, who retired as executive vice president of Innovation and Technology at IBM, as the keynote speaker. Donofrio, fellow and fellow emeritus at IBM, spoke on innovation in the 21st century.
