Pratt & Whitney Expands Service Network in China with Designated Maintenance Facility for Leonardo AW139 Customers

SHANGHAI, APRIL 16, 2019 Pratt & Whitney, a division of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX), has appointed Citic Offshore Helicopter Co., Ltd. (COHC) in Shenzhen, China as a Designated Maintenance Facility to maintain PT6C-67C engines for Leonardo AW139 helicopter customers in China. COHC will offer line maintenance and Mobile Repair Team (MRT) services.

Since first powering the Loening Air Yacht in China 90 years ago, Pratt & Whitney has grown its presence in major cities across the country, with 1,200 employees responsible for manufacturing, training, sales and customer service. Today, more than 3,600 Pratt & Whitney engines are in service in China, including the Pratt & Whitney GTF™, PW100, PT6A, V2500 engine and APS3200 auxiliary power units (APU). Pratt & Whitney engines and APUs currently power several domestic aircraft including the COMAC ARJ21 regional jet, the Harbin Y-12, Xi’an MA60, MA600 turboprops, and will power the MA700 regional turboprop.
