Georgia Louca: 'Our Quality System is Evolving Every Day ... '

November is World Quality Month. Find out what Pratt & Whitney Quality employees find rewarding about their jobs and why Quality is such an important factor in the company's success.

Quality Counts

Georgia Louca: Hi. I'm Georgia Louca and I work in the regulatory compliance office. I've been with Pratt & Whitney for four years. I wanted to work in Quality because Pratt & Whitney's slogan - Dependable Engines - really means something personal to me. I want to make sure the planes that we fly on are safe.

Georgia Louca: In Group Quality, I've learned how to embrace new challenges. Our quality system is evolving every day to meet the demands of our global business. Pratt & Whitney is growing globally and our quality system needs to adapt to that, whether it's with the international regulators, and not just the domestic ones, and even with our sister company to the north, Pratt & Whitney Canada.

Georgia Louca: The favorite part of my job is helping Pratt & Whitney certify these NGPF engine programs. We work very closely with the regulatory bodies here in the United States and in Canada in making sure that these engine programs are ready to be produced in our engine centers.

Georgia Louca: I would encourage someone else to come and work in Quality because there are so many learning opportunities. Every day is different. There's new challenges and projects every day. And it's really eye opening to see all of the disciplines coming together to work as one to produce and deliver a reliable engine.
