Pratt & Whitney Receives Advertising Award from Air Transport World Magazine

Pratt & Whitney's "global wingspan" advertisement - highlighting the company's worldwide maintenance, repair and overhaul network - received the gold award in the Engine Maintenance & Support category at Air Transport World's 39th Annual AdAwards reception, held March 26 in Washington, D.C.
By winning the gold award, Pratt & Whitney edged out Chromalloy, which placed second with a silver award in the Engine Maintenance & Support category.
The awards, which Air Transport World calls "a true measure of a company being able to communicate its message to its readers," are judged strictly by magazine readership through an online survey - each advertisement being rated on a scale of one to 10.
Pratt & Whitney's advertisement was recognized for its "eye-catching graphic" and copy that describes the company's dependability and the 24/7 availability of its services, which supports the advertisement's visual.
According to one judging Air Transport World reader, it is important for an engine service to make such a claim and Pratt & Whitney has "hit the mark" with this advertisement. "If you are a services business in the airline industry you have to be a 24/7 business, and Pratt does a great job of demonstrating just that … the message is clear, original and innovative. All the elements of the ad work well to make this one a winner."
