Shane G. Eddy was appointed president of Pratt & Whitney on March 1, 2022. He has more than 35 years of experience in the aerospace industry.

Previously, Shane served as Pratt & Whitney’s senior vice president and chief operations officer, responsible for meeting Pratt & Whitney’s commitments to safety, quality, on-time delivery and cost. Shane joined Pratt & Whitney in 2016 from GE Aviation, where he was vice president and general manager, Turboshaft/Turboprop Engines.

Prior to that, Shane spent six years at Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation serving as senior vice president, Operations and later as president, Commercial Systems and Services.

Before joining Sikorsky, Shane was with Bell Helicopter Textron for 14 years, where he held leadership roles of increasing responsibility, including executive director, Commercial Helicopter Programs; and senior vice president Customer Support & Chief Services Officer.

Shane received his undergraduate degree from Canadore College, Ontario, and holds an MBA from Concordia University, Quebec. He was appointed to the Governor’s Workforce Council for the state of Connecticut and during the past 12 years has been actively involved in LifeBridge Community Services, which assists youth and families in Bridgeport, Connecticut.
