Sustainably Powering Regional Aircraft Around the World.

1,800 to Over 5,000 Shaft Horsepower

The PW100/PW150 engine family is the benchmark for low fuel consumption on routes of 350 miles or less. That means they consume 25% to 40% less fuel and avoid an equal measure of CO2 emissions than similar-sized regional jets. Our engines are also biofuel compatible. Airlines and governments count on the reliability and versatility of our engines to fly in many challenging environments.

Overview

The regional aviation industry – which we helped create – brings the convenience of commercial flight to countless communities around the world and fuels new business opportunities.

The Power to Perform, Reliably and Sustainably

No other engine family for the regional market delivers higher propulsion at takeoff and climb when it comes to powering short-haul, regional aircraft.

We have built our reputation on the reliability of our engines. The PW150A engine, for example, has a dispatch availability of more than 99.96%. Our PW100/PW150 engines have four times more flying hours than our nearest competitor.

Building the Future of Regional Flight

We are working on advanced engine technologies - bringing more power, improved fuel consumption, better noise and emissions performance and improved maintainability, while delivering the same durability and dependability our customers expect.

Global Customer Support

Our engines offer low lifecycle cost, in part due to a growing suite of services that minimize fuel burn and emissions and maximize time on wing.

PW100 Engines Incorporate the Latest Advanced Technologies to Exceed Our Customers' Expectations

PW100-powered regional turboprop aircraft consume 25 to 40 per cent less fuel and avoid an equal measure of CO2 emissions than similar sized jets, with correspondingly lower greenhouse gases. 38 PW100 models have been produced, ranging in shaft horsepower power from 1,800 shp to 5,000 shp. The PW100 is a three-shaft, two-spool engine. Low pressure and high-pressure compressors are powered independently by cooled turbine stages. A third shaft couples the power turbine to the propeller through a reduction gearbox, optimized to establish the best combination of engine and propeller efficiencies.
