Rob Griffiths
SVP, Commercial Engines Operations
Rob Griffiths is senior vice president, Commercial Engines Operations, for Pratt & Whitney. In this role, he directs the strategic oversight of the company’s worldwide commercial aftermarket services. His responsibilities include managing overhaul and repair shops, executing the GTF aftermarket operations industrialization, MRO (Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul) capacity growth, and leading material support activities to meet customer demand.
Rob has nearly 30 years of experience with Pratt & Whitney, beginning his career in the Manufacturing Engineering Development program. Since then, he has held positions of increasing responsibility and leadership in Engineering, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Auxiliary Power Units (APUs), and Aftermarket.
In his most recent role, Rob led all aspects of Quality for Pratt & Whitney globally. Under his leadership, the organization focused on initiatives, tools and techniques to strengthen the company’s competitive position, enhance organizational effectiveness, and underscore Pratt & Whitney’s unwavering commitment to a quality-centric culture with product safety at the center. Prior to that, Rob oversaw Engine Centers in North America and Turkey, focusing on ensuring global operational readiness. He led the GTF MRO operational readiness and execution of the ramp of shop visits and established engine overhaul and component repair capacity and capability within Pratt & Whitney and our global network partner members.
As a member of the RTX Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) Advisory Board and an Employee Resource Group Executive Sponsor, he demonstrates commitment to our Pillars for Action associated to community engagement and workforce diversity.
A native of Bronx, New York, Rob earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautical Engineering and a master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Rob is a member of Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity, the United States’ oldest professional African American Greek Letter organization.
