Rick Deurloo
President, Commercial Engines
Rick Deurloo was appointed president of Commercial Engines for Pratt & Whitney in May 2022. Rick is responsible for the development, program management, sales and aftermarket services of the company’s portfolio of large commercial engines, including the Pratt & Whitney GTF™ engine family.
Rick joined the former United Technologies Corporation in 1998 and has more than 23 years of experience in management and sales in the global aerospace industry. Most recently, he was Pratt & Whitney’s senior vice president & Chief Commercial Officer, where he was responsible for leading and directing all Sales, Marketing and Customer Support worldwide for Pratt & Whitney Commercial Engines and International Aero Engines (IAE). He and his team have secured significant new engine and aftermarket maintenance business with key customers, including the acquisition of more than 11,000 orders and commitments for the GTF engine family.
Rick was previously regional vice president of sales for the Americas. His development and implementation of sales and marketing strategies helped position Pratt & Whitney as an industry leader.
In addition to his responsibilities at Pratt & Whitney, Rick is a member of the Board of Governors of the Wings Club Foundation, a global society of aviation professionals. He holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Eastern Connecticut State University and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Connecticut. Rick and his wife, Kate, have two daughters and live in Tolland, Connecticut.
