Coming Together Through Service: Thousands of Pratt & Whitney Employees #ConnectUp During Second Annual RTX Global Month of Service
Hartford, CT, June 2, 2022 - This past April, Pratt & Whitney employees around the world joined Raytheon Technologies (RTX) through #ConnectUp in the second annual Global Month of Service, making a meaningful impact in their communities. Together, over 1,000 employees volunteered across 27 Pratt & Whitney facilities in Canada, China, Israel, Poland and the United States. From collecting essential goods in Canada, to assisting servicemembers with the USO in the U.S., to hosting STEM education events in China – the scale and variety of impact covered hundreds of cause areas to create positive change and opportunities. In total, over 8,000 employee volunteer hours were logged during the month.
Furthermore, every act of service taken in April was honored with an RTX donation of essential supplies to support Ukrainian refugees, including medical supplies, thermal blankets and sleeping pads, to the Polish Red Cross. As Pratt & Whitney employees in Poland donated thousands of hours of time to refugees in their communities, Pratt & Whitney employees around the world supported them from afar. This spirit of community service continues to be a cornerstone of Pratt & Whitney’s culture, even 97 years on. To learn more about Corporate Citizenship at Pratt & Whitney, click here.
