Photo Challenge on the Pt6 Nation Instagram

Starting Monday December 14th 2020, participants have a chance to show us what they’ve got by publishing a photo that features their favourite PT6-powered aircraft (Photo). Participants must submit Photo(s) that Participants have themselves taken. Reproducing, modifying, enhancing or altering a third party’s pre-existing Photos does not qualify as a Participant’s Photo(s). Photos submitted cannot violate the rights of any third party, including but not limited to copyright. For example, Photos must not defame, infringe or violate publicity or privacy rights of any person, living or deceased, or otherwise infringe upon any person's, entity's or organization's personal or proprietary rights, including but not limited to, intellectual property rights. Furthermore, all Participants must include a caption with the Photo(s) that explains their affiliation to the aircraft showcased in their submission.

In order to be eligible, the Photo caption must mention @PT6Nation and @prattandwhitneyca accounts, along with our challenge hashtag #HowDoYouLikeMyPT6 and the account of a friend who shares a passion for the PT6 engine. All participants must be following @PT6Nation and @prattandwhitneyca on Instagram.

Participants must publish their entry Photo(s) under one of the following three (3) categories (they must be sure to mention the corresponding hashtag in their post):

Category 1: #StyleMyPT6

Category 2: #FlyMyPT6

Category 3: #DestinationPT6

There’s no limit to the ways participants can interpret each category—Only Photos taken in a manner that is safe for the pilot and photographer alike will be considered.

Selected Participants from each category will have their profiles featured on our PT6 Nation Instagram page—as well as a small profile published on our PT6 Nation website. Photo submissions may also be used in a Pratt & Whitney PT6 video promoted on Pratt & Whitney social media accounts and therefore Participants irrevocably, perpetually, and without limitation, hereby grant Pratt & Whitney the right to use, publish, adapt, sub-license, edit, dispose of, and/or modify such Photo (s) in any way, in commerce, and in any and all media worldwide in electronic and print materials, and waive all rights, including moral rights, in the Photos, without notice or compensation, and agree to sign a release to that effect.

The PT6 Nation team (Pratt & Whitney) will not consider any Photos sent by direct message (DM) to our accounts. All Photos must be uploaded and published on the Participants’ personal account with all appropriate mentions and hashtags. Published Photos will be viewed and selected by searching each relevant hashtag or through our @PT6Nation account.

Terms and Conditions:

Photo challenge submissions will range from Monday December 14th 2020 at 12:00 a.m. EDT to Wednesday December 16th 2020 at 11:59 p.m. EDT. All participants in each category should, during this period of time, participate based on the conditions outlined below:

Between Monday December 14th 2020 12:00 a.m. EDT and Wednesday December 16th 2020 at 11:59 p.m. EDT, the PT6 Nation team (Pratt & Whitney) will select 10 photos from each category. These photos will then become subject to public votes via PT6 Nation’s Instagram Stories. The initial selection will be based on the respect of contest guidelines, originality and photo quality. The number of followers on a given account will have no bearing on which photos make it to the next round.

On Thursday December 17th 2020 10 selected Photos from the #StyleMyPT6 category will be displayed on the @PT6Nation Instagram page for public voting.

On Friday December 18th 2020 10 selected Photos from the #FlyMyPT6 category will be displayed on the @PT6Nation Instagram page for public voting.

On Saturday December 19th 2020, 10 selected Photos from the #DestinationPT6 category will be displayed on the @PT6Nation Instagram page for public voting.

The top contender from each category will be announced on Monday December 21st 2020 on the @PT6Nation Instagram page.
