The Pratt & Whitney Power Systems 25 MW to 60 MW gas turbine engine portfolio offers competitive, efficient and flexible products. Power Systems has more than 2,000 industrial gas turbines installed in over 50 countries worldwide.In addition, Power Systems is a leader in Organic Rankine Cycle technology, a power solution for renewable energy sources such as geothermal and biomass as well as waste heat recovery. The products use heat from a geothermal or other low to high temperature heat sources to vaporize a fluid with a lower boiling point. The vapor creates pressure to power a turbine that generates electricity.
Pratt & Whitney Power Systems (PWPS) has applied the best technology of proven Pratt & Whitney aircraft engines to a line of land-based gas turbines that power everything from small businesses to small cities. Ranging in power from 25 MW to 60 MW, PWPS’ industrial gas turbines offer extremely low life-cycle costs while providing optimal operating flexibility. The transportable FT8® SWIFTPAC® can give you quick, reliable power in less than 30 days and the FT8® MOBILEPAC® can provide power in less than one day. Larger installations up to 60 MW are possible with the FT8® SWIFTPAC Combined Cycle.
PWPS offers a spectrum of Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) products with capacity to generate 280 kw to 12 MW of renewable power. PWPS’ PureCycle® power system is a closed-cycle process that uses a wide range of heat resources. These systems are driven by a simple evaporation process and are entirely enclosed, which means they produce virtually no emissions. The ORC systems can be powered with a variety of renewable energy sources including geothermal, biomass and industrial waste heat.
PWPS offers a full range of maintenance, overhaul, repair and spare parts for other manufacturers’ gas turbines,with specific concentration on the high temperature “F” class industrial machines. PWPS also offers quick turnaround for parts and repair services.
